I don't know what you call this. Mrs. Irish whipped this up. It has smoked sausage, kale, onions, celery, carrots, garlic. She boiled and soaked 1 cup each of dried: pintos, black beans, great northern, blackeye peas and lentils. She then put all that together with 2 tsp salt, 3 tsp black pepper and other seasonings, 1 quart of tomatoes and 2 boxes of chicken stock. We call it swamp soup, but use turnips instead of kale. I've always liked it. I think she normally would have used collards or turnip greens, but Kale is what she had. I think it would be good with just collards, sausage and pinto beans and the other stuff.
