droptines OP 8 point D Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 1,515	I just got back from SW Kansas, which is my absolute favorite place to bowhunt. Unfortunately, this hunt was pretty tough. Just about everything was stacked against me during this trip - full moon, 90 degree weather, high winds, severe drought, broke up deer, you name it. I passed a mature 8 point early in the trip and only saw a couple of giants but they were both out of range. Even with the tough conditions, I managed to fill my tag with a P&Y deer on the last day. Please excuse the quality of the footage, I self filmed everything you see in this video. I hope everybody is having a great season!

You just have to get out of the red clay areas where the free ranging deer can get those minerals and gene pool.
