This was weird. Got a text wife was making egg sandwiches. So I climbed down but walked out a different way to check another trail. I could tell critters had walked it. I popped out in the lane, heard something running behind me and this little deer pops out right behind me. I think he heard me walking and thought I was another deer. He followed me out. He got one look at me, gave a quick blow and went back way he came.

On the distance I like to walk to my stands: “The first 100 yards is also the last 100 yards.”

First time hunting core land. Already set up for this evening. Will keep track on the Bama game for now. Missed an armadillo twice at 20 yards. Then he came right under my tree. I need a bigger quiver and a deer to behave like that.

Should be doing what Joe's doing ^^^^ Strong midday movement according to the moon chart. Had no service this morning, so couldn't check in. Saw 6 longbeards and spotted fawn. Jumped deer under my white oaks when I walked in before daylight. Oddly enough, I was in Calhoun Co, but I had strong smoke smell all morning???!!! LOL Don't know if it will show up in this picture, but can you see this trail in front of me? There must be 1000 tracks in it, no exaggeration, it is dusty with tracks!!

LOL, just about! To both the left and right is crazy thick pine ridges (sage, briars, etc). This bottom is about 100 yards wide and there are big white oaks all over it, poop everywhere you step.
