I haven't even bought anything yet. I'm beginning to wonder if this will be "the year we didn't have food plots". Never had that happen in my life that I remember.

Next chance of rain I'm going to plant no matter what. I bought seed about two months ago.

I bought seed early and planted in September. This will be the first year since the early 90's when i started planting plots, that i wont have any for bow season. My seed is under a layer of thatch, or at least i hope it is. I haven't seen a lot of scratching by turkeys, but have seen some. I'm not buying anymore seed. Screw it. I hope when it rains, the seed that is there will sprout, if not, oh well.

seed is stacked in the shed, I'm not planting till I SEE rain on the ground here.

Planted last weekend. The seed will be fine in the ground until it rains if the Turkey's don't dig it all up.

I got the fertilizer out and plots are tilled and smooth powder and ready for seed. I'm not broadcasting it until I see rain in the sky.
At this point, I'm just hoping to have something to hunt over in January and February.
Might be a very interesting gun season in November with hardly anyone having any plots.
