OSU is the new Notre Dame. They don't get any breaks that Alabama doesn't. If Alabama were to lose to unranked Miss St and win their other games plus the SEC championship, they'd make the playoff and rightly so. Urban and Saban are far and away the best in the game and their teams won't ever get completely knocked out of contention over one loss. OSU might not have enough this year but they will be a perennial contender for the playoff as long as Urban is there.
