I'm sure they work just fine with good shot placement. My problem with them is they like to open up while in my quiver ... unacceptable I've never had that problem. Do you always check and make sure your shock collars are lined up right? Probably using a foam quiver I have never had any problem with my quiver, all that touches it are the very tips
