How many do you have? I'd like to buy 6 of them but don't want to pick them up until around Christmas. Is that okay?

At about what age do they start to produce nuts. I love those things.

5-7 years. About the same as sawtooth oaks. I've got some Sawtooths that I planted from acorns 7 years ago. I put tree tubes around them. The ones plated in the best soil are close to 20 feet tall with a 12-15 foot canopy. They haven't had a single acorn on them yet. They're 2 more barren years away from firewood! I want 6 of the small ones and 2 of the big ones. Pay when I pick up?

There are a few of my sawtooths that have always been bare too. You'll always have a few that will never produce but all of em shouldn't be bare. If they haven't produced for ya by next year, cut em down, grind the stump, and plant more.
