Went to get the ole lady food tonight and card was declined. Looked at my account and some damn yankee at a Walmart in Michigan has stole it all. The only thing I've bought with it recently, besides food around here, is the merino wool sale at icebreaker. I don't know if that's where they got it but if any of y'all bought from there, you may want to keep a watch on it.

Hell with Debit. Use Credit only. Seriously. They'll back you up for 30 days where the debit is only good for 2. Not sure if I'll ever use debit again. I just don't see the reason why I should risk it.
Been here long enough to go from "bring 'da pain" to " bring 'da pain meds.

Best rule is to NEVER use a card tied to a bank account for Internet purchases. Credit card only. Yep

I have a very close friend at the credit union where I do the bulk of my banking. She has permission to look daily at all my transactions, and she does. She knows where I buy gas, all my normal monthly expenditures, and all my stupid buying habits like ammo sales, gun purchases, and even what I'm likely to impulse buy. My big credit card is handled through this institution for the same reasons with the same attention and protection.
I have never been blessed before with that kind of personal service, but we can get away with it because it is such a small institution and a small community. I consider my banker a big sister looking out for me. We speak daily. She has saved my ass twice from a major hit that would have me in the poorhouse.
There's NO WAY I would consider using a large conglomeration for a bank.
If you bank with a big box, big name bank, please consider a credit union.
