I saw that Gander is running an NRA deal this upcoming weekend 9/10-9/11.
Buy a 1yr NRA membership ($30) and a get a $25 giftcard.

They meaning the NRA,Gander Mountain or both?
I'm failing to see how one might gather that Gander Mountain is overpriced from this promo.

I do agree that is Gander Mtn is over priced but not from this promo alone.

It means they can give away $25, but only have it actually cost them $5. Because their crap is so overpriced.

I quit NRA after I would sign up and then get phone call after phone call, and my mailbox constantly full of mailings trying to get me to renew my subscription every 7 days. I called them and expressed my displeasure in all the contact though I was a supporter and it continued so I gave it up.

I'm going to sign up with your address & phone number, might even express some interest in the Jehovah Witness laugh laugh
But, seriously I will put my old apartment address the notorious penthouse traphouse and put a made up phone number.

I plan on inquiring before going if the $25 giftcard can be used for hunting licenses.
If that's the case that would mean I am getting a 1yr NRA membership & my hunting license for $32ish

I ended mine to. People can say what they want about needing your support, if they used the money off a membership for the right thing they would have all they need. I swear, they spent $28 of that $30 asking for more money.

Last time they called me I told them I would be glad to sign up when I got the promo stuff they owed me. 3 hats and some kind of bag. I have been a member off and on the last thirty years and never got squat except the magazine. Finally had to have a come to Jesus with them when they wouldn't quit calling me at work. Have no clue how they got that number.

Just got off the phone with Gander Mountain in Opelika.
My plan will work as I hoped, 1 year of NRA membership and my hunting license for $32ish this weekend.

Say what you want about the NRA,Gander Mountain or whatever, but two birds for the cost of essentially one stone is a deal.

Q: How can I reduce the amount of mail I receive from the NRA?

A: Simply email us at membership@nrahq.org or dial 800-NRA-3888 and request to be placed on the "Do Not Promote" list. This will significantly reduce the amount of mail you receive without affecting important mailings, magazine service, or your membership renewal.

Once a member you can also modify your "account settings and or Preferences" to unsubscribe from any and all e-mail lists etc...

Please don't let this prevent you from joining or sustaining a membership. In my lifetime, I've never seen a more threatening environment for gun rights.

Now that's smart. I don't care what they say. You represent the boogs well!

A hunting license should be the same exact cost at any location across the state.
So buying it at Gander Mtn VX XYZ store shouldn't matter.

Renewing my NRA membership and getting a "free" hunting license seems like a solid buy to me.

Just remember of it weren't for the NRA work in West Va. in 2000 Al Gore would have been elected. Wouldn't that been nice on 9/11?

This morning we went over and signed up for the 1yr NRA membership and it went perfectly according to plan.

1yr NRA membership+hunting license for a grand total of $31.20.
