They are hard to keep out of a house if you leave the doors open at all they can fly in

My mother lives in a garden home. The neighbor moved and that back yard has grown up some. Saw about 7 or 8 on her back porch. Sprayed the perimeter of her house and haven't seen any more. I think the heat and rain pushes them to want inside.

Spray Demon WP all over the front and back porches, windows, and from the ground to about three feet up around the sides of the house. You probably won't see any except for the dead ones. Any oak, or any big trees near the house doesn't help, either.

My parents have had some bad this week. We killed 2 tonight. Assuming it's heat and rain. Definitely worse lately

Those are what we call wood roaches. This time of year they're starting to look around for where they intend to overwinter.

Like BamaFan64 said, use Demon WP. Just mix it regular strength, it's plenty effective.

I was cleaning out one of my rental houses that had some folks that were not the most clean folks in the world, and after I sprayed, there were roaches to be swept and vacuumed up for about three days.

Two years later, the new tenants said they haven't seen a single bug, when I went to hang out with them recently.

I now keep up a pest contract on my rentals, including termite, just for security later on if I sell.

Agree with all the others who posted about Demon WP. There are also cheaper versions, same stuff as Demon...

Same here. Hadn't seen one in long while, seen three in the past three days inside.

Interesting.

We don't have roaches but get scorpions. Haven't seen any since march or april and killed two the other night. Guess same instincts driving 'em in.

I buy the 1 oz bottles of Hot Shot (cypermetrin) and mix it with 1/2 gallon of water which is double strength. It's not water soluable once sprayed and it lasts a long time. Spray all the inside of the house and all around the outside including gutters. I respray in 1 month and I'm usually roach free for a year. I think it's $8 a bottle at home depot and a new sprayer is $9.

not sure what the best way to handle them is but they shouldnt be on tv and gettn married and raisin kids
