Everything I have is Realtree but Mossy Oak is an Alabama Company so get Mossy Oak!!!!
Try to keep your money and business in Alabama. It's a mississippi company but close enough I myself am partial to mossy oak. Used to go to the store in columbus on the way to visit family in mississippi when growing up. I like the tree bark type patterns they are making again. Oops, my bad; lol Still made in Dixie though!

Hey everybody what's the difference between mossy oak and real tree I'm looking to buy some scent lok camo for bow hunting but I don't know what the difference between the two. Also does anybody have any tips for a first year bow hunter? Personally - I like lightweight mesh 3D camo (something similar to THIS ). For bow season - I think the biggest thing is wear something that is cool and comfortable so you aren't sweating. I would highly recommend a Thermacell to keep the mosquitoes away. Do not wear a hat or sunglasses (I am convinced that deer can see dark and shadows very well), instead get a good mesh mask that matches your camo pattern. Unless you can shoot from a sitting position, get a good climbing stand and set the seat a little higher so instead of sitting, you are more leaning against the seat. PLEASE WEAR a quality safety harness

There was a Mossey store in Foley outlet center, I dont know if its still there. This website has great prices on camo, check out closeout area. https://www.wingsupply.com/

No matter what you wear if youre not hunting the wind right you may as well be naked. Always stay upwind of the deer and don't worry about expensive scent control clothes. I do use Dead Down Wind scent control products to eliminate some of my human odor. That should read, "always stay DOWNWIND of the deer." 😁

How do you hunt the wind if you don't know which way the deer will be coming from do they take the same path everyday I don't understand this I just watch the cigarette smoke and if the wind changes, turn to face it. I usually wear a pair of green wool pants if it's early in the season and switch to tan or brown as the season goes on. If I do wear camo, it's woodland pattern military surplus for about 10 clams per piece.

Realtree is made in Georgia. Truth is, if you're not sitting still the deer will spot you no matter if you're wearing camo or an orange jumpsuit. Set up downwind and be still. The posts about breaking up your human outline are spot on.
