And hey, I don't know what the answer is about the 11+million that are here. If you think ANYBODY is going to round them all up and ship them home then you are in a fantasy. My opinion is to shut the border immediately (wall, mote, electric fence, gators, whatever). The ones who are here can pay a hefty fine and forgo any citizenship rights because of their actions. They will be given asylum (amnesty means vote ;)) and they can live the rest of their lives among us paying taxes and raising their families on the American dream. Enforce current laws and MANY will self deport anyway. There are a lot of details that would need to be laid out for sure but that would be a start. I'm happy to discuss REAL options for immigration at any time, but now is not the time. November?? sure, after H is defeated.

Now is exactly the time to be discussing and holding him accountable for his polices. Once he's in office he doesn't need your vote anymore. I'm not telling you not to vote for him. I am telling you to let his campaign know when he supports policy that is anti constitutional. Make them work for your vote even if you know you'll vote for him no matter what. I do find it ironic that he's shedding the anti establishment cloak and " tell it like it is" bravado in favor of conforming to the things his supporters said he would fight against. The real irony is he will get most of them to support it, too.

The (very little) humor I find in all of this is how the Trumpkins got a boner off of Trump's tough talk and big promises in the primaries, got suckered into voting for him, and now that he's taking it back they're all saying "ah, we all knew he'd change what he says in the general election. They never go into office and do the things they say when they were campaigning". But, then again, I guess I don't know what else there is for them to say...other than at least it's not Hillary, or can't trump the Trump.

Do people realize that there is already a law on the books about a fence, the Secure Fence Act of 2006, and there is still no "real" fence in place. Just because Trump says it, doesn't mean that it is going to happen. Congress, both democrats and republicans have done their part to keep it from coming to fruition and it will not be any different if Trump gets elected.

I'm not a blind Trump voter.
Donald Trump X Hillary Clinton
Pretty clear choice to me. Bingo!

I still can't beleive the republican party has screwed up this election. This is the easiest Victory they could have ever hoped for and Donald Trump was nominated. Ha ha ha I can't figure it out but hopefully Trump will before he throws it away I'm thinking Rubio would be sitting pretty right now. But my vote was Cruz.

Ben they are scared their plush lives will end and everyone will see the bums they are. No doubt, I just can't beleive normal folks like you and me supported Donald Trump by the millions. But hey the old USA is changing quick so who knows maybe next time a conservative will be chosen.

I despise Hillary and Trump to no end but I do think that this country would be able to tread water if Trump is elected, no so with Hillary.

I dont think we would have to deport them.
1. Build the wall
2. Impose fines on any employer ($1000 per day) for hiring an illegal. After 3rd violation the entire board of directors goes to county jail for 30 days. Each subsequent violation is another fine and another 30 days. The owners or board of directors might be ok with the fine, but to be sent to prison is an entirely different story.
3. Impose same fine and jail time to anyone who rents, sells to, or provides shelter to any illegal. If you are traveling and have your passport and a valid entry visa you can stay or rent for the length of time on the visa. After that you must leave. This would include family members, not just hotels and landlords.
4. No governmental assistance of any kind shall be given to any illegal. The only exception would be a life threatening injury. But as soon as you are medically stable you should be deported, and not wait for the injury to heal.
Those 4 items would make most of the illegals leave on their own. If they stay they would not have a job, home or freebies. The ones who stay are probably drug dealers and should go to jail, then be deported. They should not just be deported, they should go to jail to pay for the crime they committed. If you just deport them they could sneak back in.
I love my country, but don't trust my government.

I have never actually believed Trump would or could deport every illegal, but what I do expect is those that get caught by some government entity i.e. traffic stops, actual arrest from crimes committed, trying to get any kind of government assistance,or ect to be deported. This is very doable. My thoughts exactly. Drugs are illegal and are confiscated all the time. Doesn't mean we do house to house searches for them, just means when found, they and those in possession are dealt with. Ending sanctuary cities is another big one. The Feds actually are the ones who have precedence over immigration. They should fine/withhold funding for cities who are not reporting illegals.

This is very doable. What are your logistic options if you catch an illegal in maine, or Alaska? Buy them a plane ticket? Save up a bunch of them an rent a greyhound? Thats alot of money you're talking about to ship illegals back. On second thought, maybe we could work out a deal with Amtrak considering the govt just gave them a +/- 2 BILLION loan the other day.

Less than the cost of supporting them with our public systems. But deportation is stupid. Raise the penalties and enforce them, starve them out til they all head home. No job=no food.
