Interested in skinning and tanning some snake skins but not sure where to start after getting the skin off. Any help is appreciated!

Flesh it out real good with a dull knife.
Place in a jar of glycerin and rubbing alcohol (50/50 mixture)
Make sure the skin is fully submerged with no bubbles. Seal it and let it soak for 3 days. Stirring once a day.
Rinse it off and tack it stretched out to a board. Have wax paper between the skin and the board to keep it from sticking.
Let it dry out for a week. Not in direct sunlight.

This worked great on my son's rattlesnake two years ago. It came out soft and flexible. Pm me if you have questions.

When you tack it on the board, stretch it reasonably tight and use a LOT of tacks...as it dries, it'll draw up between tacks, the more you have, the less shrinkage you'll have. Put tacks in until they're an inch or so apart.

Here's a couple I did this year with my son. Skinned, pinned every inch or so, and covered with borax then set in attic to dry. Good to go in a week.
Top one was big female with 21 eggs inside.
