Round ‘bout there

Not throwing off specifically on Hispanics, but I'm astounded at how many are driving and whether they have a license, passed the test and UNDERSTOOD what was on the test, and are turned loose on the roads.

Returning from Auburn last weekend on I-65 a truck merged into the road off a ramp without ever checking up, slowing down, nada. Steady speed and just right into the lane of traffic, causing multiple cars to brake and one to swerve into the left lane. I figured it maybe was an elderly person but nope, a couple of Hispanics who were so laser-focused ahead of them they might as well have been wearing blinders.

I hate to sound like Crochety McCurmudgeon, but the damned roads are dangerous and too many stupid people are driving.

THIS is a VERY dangerous ingredient on that stretch of road. I won't drive on that stretch during peak traffic times. Period.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I drive 8 to 1200 miles a week all over the south east, and as soon as I get back to the mountain, seems like I nearly get killed 3 times before I can make it home. As far as the Hispanics in the area to many folks making money off them including the schools. They actually have places that set em up when they get off the midnight bus on hwy 205. Within a week they have rental home used car ebt and a job plucking chickens.i remember when there used to be raids by ice.not anymore

I live almost in Kilpatric right on the outskirts of Boaz/Aervil.In the 15 years I have lived here we have had 16 wrecks in our yard.2 different wrecks were white folks and the other 14 were hispanics. Those are the ones that I know of but I find car parts in the yard from time to time so I am sure there are more. The mindset of these people is-have a wreck ,tear the property up,if the car wont run then leave it it's buy here pay here vehicles anyway and if the vehicle will run after the wreck then run like all hell is after you and don't look back.

I drive through Atlanta every now and then, and they have some of the most awful drivers I've ever encountered. On our summer road trip, I'd have to say El Paso and San Antonio, TX is right there with them. Can't remember when I've seen so many wrecks, especially in San Antonio. One evening we were going to meet my wife's cousin for supper. Fortunately she lives there and knows back roads. At the time we were supposed to meet, the radio traffic announcers were saying San Antonio was almost at a dead still. There were like 15 wrecks that had different roads blocked. The next day, we encountered at least 10+ more. It was awful. I really enjoyed visiting there, but I was also glad to get out of that place.

When I was younger and a traveling man (for work) Des Moines IA and Denver had the worst urban drivers that I ever encountered with. That was 35 years ago.
