Rifle season state wide: Saturday prior to thanksgiving until the Sunday after thanksgiving. Jan 15 - Jan 25
Archery: Oct 15 - Jan 31
Muzzle-loader: Sept 15- Sept 30 (bucks only) Dec 25 - Jan 2
Or this scenario would likely make some of you happy:
Jan 1 - Dec 31 any weapon and no limit on bucks or does ( spotted fawns legal) See this is why people complain. This may be good for you but this wouldn't allow me to gun hunt the rut on my place. And to the OP no deer season is not too long. I'm only going to kill what I can eat which is about 3-4 per year. That's all I'm going to kill if the season stays the same or stays open all year. My thoughts exactly. If the season is extended and the limits stay the same, I will only be more picky. I just want to get in the woods and have a chance for a nice buck. The more time in the woods, the better my chance. But I also understand this isn't a one size fits all. No way to make everyone happy.
