CS was set 4 yrs ago. Me and my ex have joint custody I have him every other week. I already pay CS. So now that he has reached age to start school we have to go back to court to determine who has custody. Instead of spending all that lawyer fees money we came to an agreement she'll have custody I'll have every weekend and during summer months every other week and we keep child support that same as it had been the last 4 yrs but apparently her lawyer says that's fine we can keep it the same, but he needs to know my income . How is it not legal a judge set that CS. I know what it cost to raise a child the bs I hear about the electric bill, house note, water bill and etc. guess what guys that woman still had to pay that chit regardless she is raising a child. That isn't legal. Child custody agreements and child support must be set by the court under the law. Now, you can agree to something different if you want, after the court enters its order. But, it can come back and bite you on the ass when she gets mad, goes to court and gets an order for you to pay all the back child support. The lawyer isn't trying to screw you, the lawyer is following the law.
