LSU lost to Coastal Carolina. LSU doesn't lose at home, and have the best, most committed fans in college baseball. You think Coastal has players comparable to LSU?
I agree with you for the most part. I'm not making excuses at all, but Coastal Carolina has 30, 30!!!!, more home runs than the next closest opponent in NCAA. That's a staggering number. Those boys can hit and we all know what happens when you get a hot pitcher or two in a best of 3 series. It's disappointing to not see the SEC better represented at the CWS, but anything can happen in these short series. My son played one year at Coastal Carolina and the rest at FSU. He said their coach, Gary Gilmore was phenomonal and always said that if he went to a well known D-l college, he would probably do an outstanding job.
