Some do block out the last few nails so you don't dry fire it. I have had some where the last nail always drops out on its own, some that bend the last nail, all sorts of little quirks. You may be one of those guys that doesn't read owner's manuals. I believe it specifically states that it prevents firing once it's down to 5 nails or so. It's to keep you from dry firing it which could ruin it. Is that common to air guns as well? I bought a used air framing nailer and it works great, but won't shoot the last 3 nails. I was thinking a weak feeder spring, but this is the first one ive ever owned and I don't know much about them.
