I'm sorry, but a manufacturer should be absolutely embarrassed to put a product on the road that requires a $15,000 repair....ESPECIALLY at that age/mileage.

At any rate, the thought of having to pull the body for a pump....ugh maybe this is just me trying on a tinfoil hat, but I'm convinced manufacturers are intentionally making their vehicles as hard as possible for the average joe to work on himself, just so you're forced to take it to the dealership for more and more stuff.

This is a common issue, the supply pump fails and starves the injector pump of fuel and the fuel lubricates the pump and it burns out.

One of our employees Chevy Avalanche had the fuel pump to fail. It is inside the fuel tank under the rear seat on the driver side and the dealership requires the body to come off the frame to replace it. The cost was gonna be in the thousands. He took the seat out and cut the sheet metal directly above the access panel on the fuel tank, making a professional looking opening to get the pump out and a new one in. Then he cut a slightly oversize piece of sheet metal to cover and seal the opening after replacing the pump.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Regardless of whether the price is accurate or not, manufactures all seem to be making pure crap when it comes to producing a diesel product these days.

I nstead of removing most the dash I cut the box and then epoxied piece back on when finished. Haven't had a single issue.

My new Ram you have to take the front wheel and part of wheel well off to get to oil filter (I believe, never done it personally) Heard the guys at Don Duncan's bitchin about it Takes half a day to get an oil change now
