As an average sportsman I just ask that you please don't eradicate hogs completely. I love to have the opportunity to hunt wild hogs. We've had them for 30 plus years in our area of around inverness at the Conecuh river and yes they have had a noticeable infusion of Eurasian bloodline in the last 10 years. Is it coincidence that there appears to be a new bloodline in the herd and that we are bordered by a large hunting lodge ....who knows??

Perhaps our soils are different (sandy loam) but land damage is negligible and the opportunity to harvest a pig FAR OUTWEIGHS any minimal rooting damage that is just washed back level after a good rain. After a couple of 100 years in this state at what time is a pig considered native. Its kind of iffy at best to call it non-native. Once again we find it a positive for the pigs to eat the water moccasins. That's a decrease in biodiversity which we are ok with.
