NEVER bring a pistol with man killing bullets to a deer killin'. Think I'd be better off to just go with plain ol' flat nosed bullets? No question. Man killer bullets won't penetrate. Opening day of gun season 1995 Hornady XTP's out of a Knight muzzle loader cost me what at the time would have been by far the state record with a muzzle loader. That's my buck that got away, has a 6" webbed drop tine. How do I know, neighbor finished him off a few weeks later. I went to regular flat nose non- hollow point 45 long colt bullets, never lost another one, and I killed a bunch with that old knight.
