I have to agree with Fred. I mainly hunt hogs and I carry a sig in .357 sig on my hip. It is backup, pure and simple - to be used to keep from being gutted once a big hog is on top of me or to fight my way back to the rifle I never should have dropped in the first place.

All the rest of the hunt including a bay if using dogs I do with a rifle.
