idiots

Ark brought elk from Co and Nb, two states with CWD and transported em to Arkansas without any testing. And now they wonder where the CWD came from...REALLY. You dumbasses brought it with the the transplanted elk from the very start.

Ironic..state of Co. invents CWD and Ar game and fish helps spread it......where was the damn high fence in all this????

Laws were passed here that allowed deer breeders with high fence operations to import deer from "who knows where".

The elk were introduced over 30 years ago. It does seem the agfc introduced cwd through the elk importation. Only problem is the elk are the only thing the tested consistently. Hopefully that is the only place cwd exists but without statewide samples you won't know for certain

No laws have ever been passed to allow import of deer into Alabama.Alabama has been a closed border state since 1978. The deer industry will never allow the borders of this state to be opened.

Can't they use frozen embryo implants and frozen sperm transfer? Seems like that would be all you would need.

Embryos can't be imported. Semen can be.

don't understand the ???

the "laws" apply to everyone in Al, it is against the law, in Al, to bring live deer into Al from any other state.

I doubt the law ever stopped everyone from bringing deer in. It's probably pretty rare now with the AI-ing being used.
