Don't say anything about mama, trains, trucks, prison or getting drunk..... Listened to it yesterday..twice!

Speaking of Alabama...
Dixieland Delight is a pretty darn good one.
The reason I mentioned the first song that started this thread, is that it's the closest thing to true poetry that I have ever seen in a country song, but at the same time it is a true country song. Rarely do you get that combination.
Libertarian, Pro Life, Isolationist...
Let people be free, let people live, leave other countries alone.

I got to say this is the best country song ever... That's all!
Intro D G D A G D
A D Now when the wind don't blow in Amarillo A D And the moon along to Gunnison don't rise G D Shall I cast my dreams upon your love, babe, G D And lie beneath the laughter of your eyes.
D G D Well, it's snowin' on Raton. A G D Come mornin' I'll be through them hills and gone. G D When it's snowin' on Raton, A G D Come mornin' I'll be through them hills and gone.
A D Well, mother thinks the road is long and lonely, A D Little brother thinks the road is straight and fine, G D Little darlin' thinks the road is soft and lovely, G D Hey, I'm thankful that ole road is a friend of mine.
A D Well bid the years goodbye, you cannot still them A D You cannot turn the circles of the sun A D You cannot count the miles until you feel them G And you cannot hold a lover that is gone.
D G D A G D D G D A G D
A D Well Tomorrow the mountains will be sleeping A D Silently the blanket green and blue G D But I shall hear the silence they are keeping G D And I'll bring all their promises to you.
D G D Well, it's snowin' on Raton. A G D Come mornin' I'll be through them hills and gone. G D When it's snowin' on Raton, A G D Come mornin' I'll be through them hills and gone. A G D Come mornin' I'll be through them hills and gone. Town Mountain has a few more good ones too. They get thumbs up on my Pandora everytime.
