It will be higher than the bead and for most benellis just a touch to the right of bead. I took my speed bead off bc it peeled the skin off my thumb every shot with 3.5's

Mine ended up slightly left of the bead. You can put it in a vise or on sand bags and line your beads up then attach sight and dial it in. Got mine really close this way

Like mentioned above, I would just shoot bird shot at 10 yards to get it close, then back up to 20 with birdshot, then try one of your turkey shells at 20 to see where to go from there and back it on up

If by trouble you mean being borderline running out of vertical adjustment, then yes. Otherwise, no.
A gunsmith drilled and tapped it for a 336 base for me without any reservation although some folks will tell you that the top of the receiver is too thin to drill/tap.
