Anyone ever added pecans to their fire to smoke meat? Not pecan wood. Pecans.

A guy at the shop a couple weeks ago had built a smoker and I was talking to him about what woods he used. He said he used lump charcoal and pecans most of the time. I'd never heard of using the nuts to smoke with.

I just put a turkey breast on the egg. I'm thinking about trying it.
