I love festivals, expecially small town festivals with all the arts and crafts and expecially the food. But it is so hard to find them because there is not any web site that list all of them...
So list all the Bama festivals that you know of.. Name, town and dates (if known)

Frog festival Summiton Al

Not sure how small you are looking for but the Glenwood Well Festival is usually pretty fun. May 21 this year

if you want to venture out of AL, there is a worm fiddling festival in Caryville FL. Late spring early summer I think. Might find that on the web. South of Geneva AL more or less.

Peanut Festival in Dothan, early Nov., I think? It's a big to-do, they'll definitely have a website.

The Clio, "Chitlin Jamboree" (festival). May time frame.

Dothan has the peanut festival in October but that's a big city more than small town. Plenty of food don't know arts & crafts.

Usually the same weekend of the bow opener is the "Syrup Sopping Festival" in Loachapoka. Hardee's serves biscuits, with syrup cooked up fresh in front of you from mule powered cane press. Local arts and crafts, some good blue grass music, and your standard fair foods, funnel cakes, Pork skins...

btw, Rattlesnake Rodeo in Opp is April 1-2

Go online and check the community section of WTVY website. They cover Wiregrass and Jackson, Washington, Holmes & Walton counties in FL and some SW GA counties. They always show reminders on their morning show talk of town showing some kind of local festival like you describe. When I was up a few weeks ago they were advertising some festival in Blakely GA and another in Florala AL. I drove through Florala coming back from hunt and there were streets closed & festival. Anyhow, this station seems to advertise these different festivals every week or so. Check the website and maybe you'll find something listed

Elberta German Sausage festival later this month I believe.

Florala has a "Cinco de Mayo" thing every year, and maybe something else, though what it is escapes me, at the moment.
