Small world. LOL

Ha! The funny thing is, I know who it was. Lots of people on here do actually. Especially if you lease land from people with yellow gates in my neck of the woods. whistle

Well your no fun.

He is a dumbass. I had a similar situation last year. Bird gobbling good, I get set up. And he got limb launched.

And no it wasn't me this time.

Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.

Sorry to spoil it smile. I overreacted even though it was roosted more than likely on our side of the line. Like I said earlier, I was all excited about finally hearing one do what he was supposed to be doing! And yes, he is a tried and true asswipe.

Duck hunting one January every time we shot. Multiple gobblers in the tree. Not strange but pretty interesting. 150 yards away

Bassboat mercury engine on the river (really gets them fired up). Tugboat horn. Peacock call. Buddy of mine carries that peacock call. Can't believe it works.

I've heard the others too - horn, door slamming, etc. The bass boat was an interesting one. I used to love to hunt those fishing tournament weekends on Millers Ferry because I knew the turkeys would gobble.

When I was first learning back in early 90s helicopter flew over club in Jackson Co. A gobbler sounded off on every ridge and point and just kept gobbling at each other for awhile. Dumb old me didn't kill a bird. On another club not far from there I was walking down a woods road and two gobbled at my footsteps in the leaves. I botched that one too. Oh to have some of them deals to do over. I once heard a gobbler and a rooster in a shouting match at daybreak. Host made me walk off and leave that turkey cause he was near the parking spot but not exactly on right property.

On the distance I like to walk to my stands:
