Years ago and buddy and I were in Chambers County and we found three turkeys gobbling on a creek. We didn't know exactly where they were so we got in the truck and drove down to the bridge. My buddy gets out of the truck and owls again and these three gobble just down the creek maybe 60 yards from us. He owls again and they cut him off. One more time and they go into a gobbling fit and are losing their minds. He gets to laughing and owls again and on the last bar he starts going "Here turkey, turkey, turkey". They start losing their minds again. We knew we were too close so we got in the truck and eased back up the road. Walked off in the pines and sat down. Within one minute of them flying down we had all three of them in front of us strutting and carrying on. Jakes.

What a let down.
