I'm wanting to know some information on the Crappie along the Tensaw River. I'm not wanting anybody's hole just a place I go and catch some fish. I have fishes them a few times there just haven't had much luck. Any additional information is appreciated.

Look on crappie.com under the Alabama section. There is a couple guys from down that way. They might give some pointers

I'm planning on going to miflin lake around the first of March. Should they be stage in the creeks, the creek mouths?

When the water starts to warm up i live to beat the cypress trees up on the bank with jigs under a cork and beetle spins.

How deep do you fish it?

18 inches or so. I am no means an but if i catch em on the bank spawning i can hang with the of em. Other than that, i ain't that good at catching them.

Them pictures you posted last spring made you look like Wally Marshall!

Id also try mcrenolds lake and douglas lake. Them good spots too.

McRenolds Lake I'm not seeing it on the maps I have can you point me in the right direction? Have you ever tried Mufflin Lake? I'm just getting started, any guidance is appreciated.

Negro Lake is what it's gonna be on the map. Pretty easy from Cliffs Landing. Nvr crappie fished in there. Maybe gonna try this ur tho.

The entrance to McReynolds Lake is just about southwest of Cliff's Landing on the Tensaw. Leaving out of Cliffs, head south on the Tensaw and the entrance will be a little over a mile down river (about 1/2 mile north of the train trestle). The proper name of McReynolds Lake on maps will be Negro Lake or Basin de Negro.

Fished in Miflin once when the water was high. Got a few bites just couldn't get them in the boat.

Story is that a boat full of slaves were burned to death there. I read a neat book called the Ballad of Little River. If anyone from is from that area or near the area it's a pretty dang good book. I searched google earlier today and didn't see nothing yet.
