just an intresting fyi about Cats. A popular color now for bulldogs is merle. Since this isnt an original color for the breed. They've come to the conclusion that hog hunters have mixed cats and bulldogs (bd) and that is what started this color. Even though now you can get a dog that would appear to be full blooded bd with merle color, but it has cat in its lineage.
