Im in need of a safe to hold two ARs, a home defense shotgun and a scoped rifle. A shelf or two for other stuff wouldn't hurt. Not looking to spend a ton of money but hoping someone has one available after upgrading to a monster. This isn't a budgeted purchase and if I don't find a great deal then I will save for it and go a little more expensive.

I have looked at the Liberty (12 gun) for $399 at Walter Craig. I haven't looked at TSC yet but have contacted safeman. He recommended the Black Diamond 5924 but it is far away and more than I would like to spend.

Are you just wanting to have locked storage to keep out kids?

If you are looking for legit burglary prevention and fire protection, you will need to spend substantially more. I have had several different safes and would highly recommend saving and purchasing a Sturdy safe. For the money, its hard to beat.

Mainly to keep them out of reach from kids or visitors. My house is rarely unoccupied. On the rare occasion that we all go out of town then we store them at my inlaws. I would still rather have a safe than a metal cabinet but I realize that it will not withstand a real intruder.

Keep an eye on Craigslist; they come up there frequently.
