Thinking of buying a Remington Sendero only offered in 300 Win Mag or 7 millimeter mag which would you go with?

Because I have a 7MM08 and nothing in 30 caliber going with 7MM would make sense to me.

But I am not sure of what the circumstances are for you.

7mag long range because of bullet diversification but heck no it ain't too much. Both are great.

I've got both I prefer the 300 but that's just my opinion I've killed a pile of deer with the 7 mag up close they seem to run but 100 plus yards drops em , either or would work and these folks that think u use to much fun like trailing deer I like the ole bang flop

Never have too much gun lol..I've actually became a 7mm fan (poor 300mag sits in the safe) about 10years ago. I now own a 7mag, 7mmstw, and a 7mm08. I do pull out my 308 warbird a few times and hunt with it . I normally kill a buck too! My buddy's think I'm crazy when they see me with that rifle lol..

Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!

Remington offers the Sendero in multiple calibers
.300 Winchester Magnum also available in .264 Winchester Magnum, 7mm Remington Magnum, 7mm Remington Ultra Magnum and .300 Remington Ultra Magnum

264 Win Mag is one hell of a round!

You can get heavier bullets with the 300 but a 168gr Berger will kill one deader than Elvis.

Keep your booger hooker off the bang switch.

Not to much in my opinion, I shoot one and its not like it blows the deer I half, I do think it helps with marginal shots. Just my thoughts

I shoot one and love it. When i bought it 17 years ago, it was the same price as a .243. I thought, i might one day be lucky enough to go hunt something bigger, so i bought it. Bang flop 99% of the time. I would recommend getting stainless steel, never have to worry about rust. 7mag is a fine weapon as well.

This is a personal question. Either caliber will kill deer effectively. Both are excellent at longer ranges and carry enough energy.

I will give you a confession from a reformed "use enough gun" believer. I once used 12 gauge 3 1/2" shells for duck and turkey. Used a 300 Rem Ultra Mag for deer. The heavy, fast loads killed everything quickly and cleanly. Only used these because they didn't make 4 1/2" 12 gauge shells and was too cheap to buy a .416 Rigby.

Killed deer, ducks and turkeys for years with these loads. Then one year I started missing. Spent hours looking for deer I knew I had killed. No way I could have missed but no hair, blood or anything but running tracks. Ducks flew in the decoys and left untouched.

When I sighted back in the problem became apparent. I was flinching. Nothing wrong with any of my guns. Shooting low and left with everything.

Rehab was simple. 3" 12 gauge loads work just as well. Bought some "chicken" (reduced recoil) loads for my 300 and shot bricks of .22. Deer now die again and ducks fold in the decoys.

If you want a new, big gun then go for it! But be mindful of flinching as you shoot.

If you're going to be sitting with a good rest, a Sendero will be fine. No way I'd get one if I had to carry it. I've owned a couple, but sold them cause they were heavy. As far as magnums go, if I had some long shots I'd consider one, but I'm way more accurate with other guns. This is coming from somebody who's been down that road.

They are "offered" in other calibers, not sure if those are the only two you want or not. I have a .308 and it is a shooter. They made them in .223, .308, and 25-06 for sure; Also the calibers you mentioned and a few more just can't think of them right now.
