Are you crazy? Everyone knows we have too many Black Panthers already. If you get any more in here, white people will never get to vote.

i just sent an email to my advisory board rep. And suggested this same thing about baiting . I hope we get it!!

Personally I think it's a terrible idea...but I believe it's coming.

you sent an email to your rep and "suggested" a feeder tax?? yea, that's a bad idea. That's like suggesting the dr give you a prostate checkup.

Prostate checkups are uncomfortable but necessary.

Paying for a decal to put a feeder on your own property is not necessary and never should be.

but that doesn't mean you volunteer for it.

Clem, you don't suggest a prostate exam, you let the dr suggest it when he sees you haven't had one wink

I just had one about 3-4mths ago. the dr asked me if I wanted to have it checked. my response "has anyone ever told you yes?"

LW, just because I pay it for other things does NOT mean I should pay it for everything.

I don't stomp in there in a mad rage, but I ain't friggin' happy about it.

Perhaps, in your "let's enjoy paying a tax" vein, we should be like Tennessee and pay for a general license and then pay extra to use a rifle, and extra for a bow, and extra for a muzzleloader, and extra for a crossbow even though you've already bought a state hunting license.

Gouge, gouge, gouge. Maybe Alabama could do that and add the feeder tax. Hell, why not a camera tax? Or a shooting house tax? Or a treestand climbing stand tax?

considering the waste that goes on in this state and nation, why would I NOT get mad when I have to pay those taxes?
but hey, as long as I have people like you who can suggest another way for uncle sam to get in my wallet its all good right?

The more annoying fee's and such that you have to pay the more folks are going to just quit fooling with it all together.

look i would love for it to be wide open and we could go buy a feeder and put it up and hunt but i dont see it happening that way ! And you wouldnt be the only one being taxed ! Everybody that had a feeder would be

Why not? Seriously, why not? A feeder is nothing more than an optional hunting tool or feeding mechanism (during the off-season).

Do farmers have to buy an annual decal for their hay bale holders or feeders? That's an optional thing for them. They could just toss the food or hay on the ground.

Your reasoning so far is illogical at best and liberal taxation at worst.
