I have never looked at them. But, I heard they were suppose to be like the conquest, but are no living up to the claims. Meopta made the original Conquest scopes for Zeiss. When that ended Zeiss went to an upgraded German Conquest in the HD5 and a down graded Conquest in the Japanese Terra. Meopta is now making a 3X9X40 that is nearly identical to the Conquest scopes they made for Zeiss.

I have Terra 2x on my BLR and love it. Light weight, ultra bright glass, good in low light, and the reticle is great for hunting. On par with my older conquest and newer VX-V.

Never heard anything good about the Terra scopes at all. Personally I liked Zeiss, alot better before they started messing with these = Economy line type scopes. I think it just pulled their name down a notch

Would not buy a Terra. If I were determined to get a Zeiss then I wouldn't look at anything below a conquest. Remember you get what you pay for.
Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!
