He was nothing like big ears or Clinton. He wouldn't enter the oval office without a coat and tie. He had so much respect for those who came before and the office of President.

I was just a kid, but I remember the day he was shot. What a gentleman and yet such a strong leader! I had the honor of working very closely with the Secret Service on some presidential visits and that day made a world of differences in how they operate. For instance, now whenever you see the prez enter or exit the limo, there is always someone standing in the door on the opposite side. That wasn't the case until Reagan was shot. Now when you see that, you will know that that is a highly trained trauma surgeon who is equipped to perform emergency surgery in the back of the limo, if required. People don't understand how close Reagan actually came to dying that day due to the delay in getting him to the ER. Initially no one, including himself, realized he was shot. He blamed the pain on the SS agent from pushing him too hard into the limo and striking the door with his side.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Man he was a good one. Country was in a mess under the goober farmer and he turned it around. It is too bad no one like that today. There never will be again I'm afraid.

By far the best POTUS that I ever expect in my lifetime. Rest in peace Mr. President.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

IMO, we haven't had a truly good one since.

i seen a documentary that said the bullets were designed to fragment, fortunetly the guy used a shorter barrel(probably for concealment)and the bullets didnt perform the way they were supposed too. Said also the bullet traveled dow the side of the car, going in between the car and the door and hit him as he was being pushed into the limo.

IMO, we haven't had a truly good one since. x2 However, I believe Cruz has a chance to be the next best thing. The biggest difference being that Reagan was able to unite people for a common goal. I'm not sure that anybody can do that again...our country is way too divided in it's ideals.

What evidence of that do you base your opinion on?
