Wow if we have to follow that to the letter then it does do away with posting guns for sale on here. Nothing can stop me from "giving" a gun to somebody.

All sales have to have a background check now. Gun shows and if I read it right any online sales as well.

Thats what I am trying to figure out. According to that, if you are selling just one then you have to conduct a background check on the buyer.

This is what stood out to me. No matter WHERE you conduct business. This is BS and the only chance we have is to get a Republican in there to reverse this.

The definition of "in the business" will be key. Expect lawsuits.

I don't see anything but political double talk. All those things are already covered under federal law. You notice how many times they say "engaged in the business"?

Thst is not going to affect this site becuse it doesn't sell,anything. It also doesn't affect invdvidual sales.

I read where they will consider the number of guns you sell and whether you sell them for profit.

Under those circumstances, I wouldn't think it would affect most sales on this site.

I said it in another thread but he should have been impeached years ago and we wouldn't even be hearing about this topic right now. If this doesn't suit his fancy, he will hit it again. Bad bad year for us with him still in there.

I sounds like it will affect individual sales, but it won't unless you are selling a bunch of firearms. What a "Bunch of firearms" is is kind of open to interpretation if one reads the new rules:

"If you’re in the business of selling firearms, you must get a license and conduct background checks."

"There is no specific threshold number of firearms purchased or sold that triggers the licensure requirement. But it is important to note that even a few transactions, when combined with other evidence, can be sufficient to establish that a person is 'engaged in the business.'"

So if a church wants to have a gun buy back program, every seller would have to have an FFL? Kind of kills those programs.

I will just trade my gun for cash or vice versa. No need to sell one or buy one.
