Can you use your position to get me some turkey hunting property? grin Congrats on the recovery! Another question, is Mike able to stop Lucy when she is getting close to a highway or other dangerous area by looking at his GPS?

YES. He called her back a couple of times, and his wife was also out on the highway ready to catch Lucy when she came up to the roadway.

I have always heard that standing behind every successful man is a good woman who supports him.

Sound like this is a 3-way team here, Mike, the wife and Lucy! thumbup

Good deal, as mentioned earlier just was curious, how that long of a track was handled if there was lines that needed crossing, no implying that you all were the bad guys at any time.

Congrats on the deer! That is a deer story that I would quickly file in the BS folder if It didn't come from a reliable source. 3.2mi is crazy! Thanks for sharing!

GSDowner, I made a shot I was comfortable with. I've killed hundreds of deer. I don't need to talk shot placement. I hit the deer about 2" from where I was aiming at 200 yards. Only problem was it was 2" low and 2" left. I made more effort to get this deer than most ever make, and due to persistence and help from Mike the deer was recovered. What else is expected?

I did. I have a cap cover that I take on and off when I enter/exit a stand. I was wearing it.

Out of curiosity and maybe could aid others in future tracking jobs, would you be willing to use an aerial photo or even just draw it out on paper (for privacy reasons vs the aerial photo) the near exact path of travel the deer took from bullet impact to retrieval? I think that would be pretty neat to see given the distance the deer traveled.

Congrats again! thumbup

crazy "Hey everybody, here's my hunting spot where I kill big mature bucks because I let the little ones walk..." Said no hunter ever (ESPECIALLY Matt Brock).

Since Matt's response will most likely be like above, I took the liberty of drawing the recovery map on Matt's behalf! grin

Figured there'd be at the very least one smart ass response to my post lol
