How old of a track will a good dog get on? A dog that good probably 24 hrs maybe more.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

First, I can't thank Mike and his wife enough for what they did. We trailed through some thick nasty stuff. Lucy is absolutely amazing. Hands down the best tracking job I've ever seen. We trailed this deer approximately 3.2 miles according to gps. He made a few turns and circles, but he covered some ground. She finally caught up to him about 3.1 miles after started. She bayed him up after a couple hundred yards and he wasn't going anywhere. I had to finish him off. My shot went a couple inches left of the base of the tail, in the left hip, and drove straight into the gut. Not sure how the deer made it that long, or traveled that far. Now to the deer itself. He is NOT the deer I thought he was. He's very similar, but lacks the brow tines of the deer I was after. Not sure how I didn't catch that, but it wouldn't have changed the outcome. I had already decided to pull the trigger. So here is. Thanks for all the prayers and support. And thanks to Howton21. He ain't worth much, but he can drag and takes good pics. ![[Linked Image]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/mattbrock/DSC_0339_zpsbgeybvnn.jpg)
