You don't see why people shoot does????? Then your gonna bash people for shooting small bucks? You ever heard of backstraps, deer burger, cube steak, deer jerky, snack sticks, summer sausage, the list goes on and on dude... But unless you shoot deer you don't have a freezer full of this... That's what people get out of shooting a deer,not just nothing, it's a sport, it's not just about sitting and shooting big deer, its fun to go out and just shoot whatever u want sometimes.... I appreciate your thoughts about my dad,man it is tough to go through especially this time of year,or any time at all.But we all got to go one day.Now about deer im not nocking you or your team ,im talking about everybody in general.I know its fun to kill a deer.but there are way to many hunters out there that shoot if its brown its down.then they most of them just take the deer to the processer and donate them to the hungry.that would be ok ,but the processor,s that I know of dont just give deer meat away,they charge the normal fee which is around $60 .I dont think they ,the processor donates nothing to nobody.they even keep the hides and sell them for tanning.and if you kill a small racked deer and dont keep the horns ,they sell them for jewlery,medicine,kniges and other stuff.I know this because I asked one if I could have acouple deer hides to train my bloodhounds with,and he said no he had someone that picks them up.and yes people do eat deer meat like you said.but it dont take 10 deer to do so.man I used to join 2 clubs,pius the land I hunt now and I would avarge 20 yo 25 deer year,theres people on here that know me that would back that up.but I had a bad accident back in 2012 ,that changed my life,no money for clubs,so have to hunt what I have ,so then thats when I backed of killing every deer I saw,because when you hunt your own land you can see the impact,on killing does and small bucks. But i do agree with one thing it is way better to kill a 5 point or small buck than to kill a doe.good luck.

Dint say it that way,but something is odd about his responses.I cant help he,s taged out for the year.I myself wouldnt put that picture of t h e 5 point on here,simply he wasnt fit to eat after laying out all night with fly,s swarming it,who say,s it wSnt shot at night.

Well a few years back, I leased some land near the lay lake area.when I first leased it the owner told me it was full of deer turkey and hogs.I dint believe him about hogs ,because I never new there to be wild hogs in chilton county.well I leased the land and sure enough it was loaded with all 3.well getting to the point we planted 6 greenfeilds,on 162 acres of land.this is when I used to shoot alot of deer.we killed 23 deer 6 turkey,s and 4 hogs,3 of the hogs were over 500 pounds.but anyway there was 1 greenfeild at the far back we called it the hog hole.you would never see a deer at that greenfeild just wild hogs.

I think I know who you are talking about. And if I am right this person you speek of with the light and corn is well above your class on many levels. Its funny that the season after your accident I didnt hear many shots off the dirt road between the hours of 7pm to 2am. Thank You.

Hell Chris he may be talking bout me.It seems like it anyway.I have a security light 200 yards behind my house and I also have a field planted there and it stays loaded with corn.I have seen a nice lil 8 point and a decent 7 and 6 out there so far.Game warden is more than welcome to come sit in my dining room anytime and watch deer under the light with me.

I think so. I know he use to ride the roads alot dont know if he still does or not probably got hard to drive and shoot with one hand.
