A lot of big deer has been killed in the rain

Some of you must not be experiencing the copious amounts of rain and lightning we are.

It ain't just raining. It's flooding.

Just a had a ham and turkey come by. I think apple pie is coming too. I can see a herd of gifts too.

Seen 3 does this morning. About to go sight in my AR and get back after them this evening...

I would love to be hunting today but have a 6.5 hour drive this evening so I am taking it easy while the kids tear up the house.

But while we are back in VA for a few days I will get to hunt there a few times on my lease

My rain gauge holds 6" and it overflowed. That was since Wednesday. Finally, rain free today. Maybe we'll see the sun shine later today.

We got somewhere in the neighborhood of 8" in Monroe Coutny in less that 48 hours. Stuff flooded that I've never seen flooded except during a tropical event..

We are getting rain in north AL like y'all got down there earlier in the week.

Was just about to check the radar before I getting dressed to head to the stand when I heard the torrential downpour hit. Dang rain.

Well checked the radar; supposed to be some serious rain/weather hitting our area around 4:30 so not going to get in the stand today.

I tried to go about 10:00am but by time I got to my climber I was soaked with sweat I stayed until 12:00 pm dint see a thing.but as soon as the weather calms down im going back there.there were 4 scrapes and a horn tree the size of a fence post all within 40 yards of my climber,one of the scrapes had the whole top of a wild berry bush tore completely up.gonna put a camera there when I go back. I had some good buck pictures in a greenfeild not far away back at the first of season but they disappeared.but this is got to be a monster.its on the edge of a 2 year old clear cut.the omly problem is I have about 7 or 8 spots similar with the same set up scrapes and huge rubs. what would some of you do.the deer has been hard to see so far in my area,but alot of sign is starting to show up.had a huge buck seen buy 2 differt people within 300 yards of my house ,one of them is very confirmable,local deputy sherif,said at least had 12 points.
