To each his own. I rarely kill more than one buck a year, due to selection and Choice. I try to shoot mature bucks only, that being 3 1/2 or older. I kill a doe or two to eat throughout the year. When I take my 9 year old son, which is more often than not, he can shoot what ever he wants.
