I have an Orca chaser and a Yeti Rambler. My wife and I use them both every day. They're worth the money IMO. I looked for my mom one on eBay last night and the cheapest 30 I found on there was 70 bucks and still had several hours left. Now that's crazy. I would do without before I gave 70 bucks for a dang cup.

Damn son, I had a 20 I would have given you. I got one a year or so ago for my wife but she wanted the 30. It sit on top of the fridge for nearly a year. My wife snatched it up last week and gave it to her dad for Christmas.

I got one last week as a gift from the staff. I was impressed. 30 oz keep 2 beers cold, not cool, for a long time. I had a cup of coffee in it the other morning and left it in my truck. I came back 2 hours later and the coffee was still warm enough to drink.

They are THE gift this year evidently. I tried to buy some this week and couldn't find them anywhere in a store and all other online shops were back ordered.

I got a tip there was a shipment coming in to Montgomery at Alabama Outdoors yesterday at 3pm. I got there at 235 and was 16th in line. The girl in front of me drove from Birmingham because they couldn't find any there or online. Said one store sold out of 700 in an hour the day before.

By the time 3pm arrived, there were over 50 people in line and they had a 6 cup limit per person. I got my 4 (2 for gifts for family and bought 2 for another person who was out of town).

They work but at $40/cup, they damn well better.

Man I sure would have took it. I went to place my order for the 30's and when I hit pay it said they were out of stock. I've called everywhere I know to call locally....no one has them.

I have one and I really like it. It keeps my coffee hot a long time. I can leave it in the truck and it will still be warm at lunch.

They are every bit as good as their reputation....indoors, mine will keep ice for well over 24 hours if I happen to make a drink and forget about it.

whether or not such a well insulated cup is "worth it", is up to the individual. I was given a 20oz for my birthday last year. I absolutely love it and use it every day. I wouldn't have paid what they cost because I'm a tightwad, but I'm glad I was given one.

However Yeti, like any other fad, is the perfect example of a social experiment in marketing and worst of all political marketing. Most of us don't need it but more and more people have convinced us that we have, to have it!

It's socialistic/democracy at it's finest! We think we are making a choice but we've been influenced past the point of choice! People who don't need it, want it and at this point... have to have it!

It's exactly what the entire government we have today hopes continues!

Man that's deep. Accurate perhaps, but getting into complex societal and psychological issues. I prefer to keep things simpler. Yeti has a simple marketing strategy. 1. Build a superior product. 2. Make it popular in the young and affluent crowd. 3. Let word of mouth take over. 4. Print a few window stickers for pick up trucks for the "cool" crowd (kind of like Aldeer).

I have yet to see a Yeti commercial and maybe just a couple of magazine ads. That is part of their success. A very low advertising budget is needed due to word of mouth, such as this thread. I bet Yeti is brought up in college business classes as a way to build a business.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Blue ox in Prattville has a shipment that is supposed to be here by Friday. I prepaid for two 30's. they are receiving 48 of them and I bought 29 & 30. Not sure if they have sold all of them or not but its worth checking out.

There is commercials for Yeti all over the hunting channels. Jim Shockey all over them.

I would rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

Wiley's in Decatur has some of the ORCA's for $34.99. She said she'd probably be sold out by the end of the day. They also had the small whiskey drinking Yeti cup and the Yeti huggies too.

That's really the only nit I have to pick w' my Yeti cups. It'd be nice to have a spillproof one for coffee on my morning commute to work and on road trips. Looks like Engel only make the 30 or 32 oz model currently

Lefthorn has one and took it to one of the Alabama games we went to early in the season. He was drinking out of it at 9:00 a.m. when he picked me up and ended up leasing it in the truck during the game. At 9:oo p.m., that evening on the way home, it still had ice in it. Pretty impressive for a cup.
