100% sure they were all killed in Alabama? Everyone posted has shown the same county. People even gave him a hard time on opening day about being tagged out so early.

I'd think those internet posts and a look at his harvest record would be evidence enough for an officer to at least talk to him.

3 bucks is enough, all the crying over does is silly. Talk to processors, there has been no change. If I start shooting at you, you will change your habits too. You people have no faith in the biologist that make their living caring for the state deer population. If a guy is killing more than his legal quota he's a criminal and should be treated that way. He's no better than a poacher and a trespasser. In reality he is a thief.

You people have no faith in the biologist that make their living caring for the state deer population. Enough? Who is the judge of that? I am amazed at the folks who proclaim to be Conservatives that make such Liberal proclamations....let's spread the wealth. It is not fair that you have better hunting property than I do. So, you can only kill 3 bucks so maybe I can kill 3, too. The limit was to allow more bucks to reach older age classes. Not guarantee other hunters a chance to kill bucks. And, as far as the rest, you are FOS. You have NO idea what you are talking about and should just stick with the little circle jerk on the General Forum. You have not visited every property in AL (maybe none in quite some time?( to make your assumption nor have you talked to every biologist. I can assure you that there are MANY biologists who will tell you that the deer population is in a dangerous spiral in many areas and that the antlerless harvest needs to be limited. And, as far as processors...they have closed almost as fast as they were once opening due to lack of volume here in my area. So, again, you are just flat wrong. Now, as far as the guy killing over the limit. That is against the Regulation (not Law, Regulation). So, it is wrong, plain and simple. There is no other justification.

I could see minding my own business and I could see turning him in. I'd just think on it and do whatever I felt led to do.
As far as the 3 buck rule I like it but if I owned the land I'm hunting on the state shouldn't be able to tell me what I can and can't do. I shoukd be able to kill 20 bucks over a corn pile if I want to.
We will burn that bridge when we get there

You sir don't know a thing about through deer population where I hunt ......it's not that I do not have faith in the state biologists but these are the same people that kept saying there were only 50 bears in the whole state when I knew that was craps. I am not crying about doe killing. I am stating a fact. The deer population is way down where I hunt. It might not be where you are and I am happy for you, but around here the doe killing needs to stop. As far as buck harvest goes I am ok with three as a limit.I also agree that the guy shooting over his limit is nothing but a law breaker and should be ticketed.

If you own land you should be able to kill deer as you see fit ,all other lands leased or public should be regukated, but it wouldn't work for bending and twisting of the rules . , I think the best way to solve this problem is to put more money in the biologist pockets for there study's divide everything in zones and to have the state perform its duties adequately. more game wardens for policing I see deer dumped around lee county everywhere with the horns cut off , some don't even have the backstraos cut out . I've seen 5 in the last week all shot in the vitals. In my opinion to shoot the animal and cut its horns off and leave it on the side of the road is no diffrent than murder and should be prosecuted as such unless it's damaging your crops or causing damage to your landscaping . Hunting refs has to be tightned up at some point. This sport could be much better fir he majority of people if regs were tightened .. I believe most people hunt for the hunt and enjoy killing big deer and seeing deer . That don't mean you have to blast one every time you go .. You can call that liberal too , about like giving out food stamps .. If there is an issue that has the potential to be solved on this site I think someone could draft it up and get a vote and that's what should be done in regards to our hunting laws. Every member should be asked to cast a vote. Surely someone on this site has some say when it comes to changing regs. If not several of you .

An area which never had many deer to begin with. I guess the deer are moving during the 25th and 26th hours of the day when my cameras don't work?

Thats ,all I was trying to get across is about the killing of does, the guy that killed over his limit, should be,turned in.and no I dont hunt all over the state,I aint even in a hunting club.but I do hunt 800 acres, all by myself.about 3 years ago I coulld take a shotgun and buckshot, and go throgh rocks in thick cover and kill as many deer as I wanted to.now you can walk allday sometimes and not even see a deer.all everyone talks about is how low turkey populations are,you better worry about deer the same way.the buck limit of 3 is fine with me,because if I aint gonna mount it I aint gonna shoot it.I just would rather raise the buck limit up to 5 ,like turkey hunting and do away with shooting does.when your turkey hunting you dont shoot hens ,same should go for deer .I understand some land has alot more deer than others, but I can bet you thats because of the money feeding corn agriculture crops excta.but like said every land is not the same for instance you say we have alot of deer on your land, well mine is opposite I am run over with Turkey,s go figure .

You're right Fur, some areas need to take the foot off the gas, some need more, some are about right. But in their infinite wisdom " the state" took a step back to the deer management dark ages and painted the whole state with the one doe a day brush. I'll not drag my soap box out on a Sunday AM.
