Either they want to be there or they don't. in general best way to attempt to attract ducks is planting and flooding which would require drawing down your ponds in the summer.

We now have a real problem with water meal that is going to be expensive to get rid of. To me, knowing what I know now, wishing for ducks and geese on your private pond is about the same as the landowner that tries to attract hogs.
