I would guess most of them were a pet project of a congressman or senator some time in the past that was added to a larger bill to get said person to vote for the bill. A bribe so to sleek. I would also guess they were put there by both Democrats and Republicans.

Regardless it needs to be cut. Federal Government has no business in almost all of those subsidies. It's getting to where we almost don't even live in a free market system anymore. I don't believe our nation should ever be taxing its people at nearly a 50% level. If that means we have to cut back on some of these subsidies in order to lower taxes so be it, but if I remember correctly from high school history class, we fought a war over a 2% stamp and tea tax.

$20 BILLION More is spent on Corporate Welfare every year than is spent on Social Welfare. I'd rather keep every dime of Social Welfare and go to a Free Market as opposed to financing Wal-Mart and Hokey Solar goat ropes. ![[Linked Image]](http://i0.wp.com/thinkbynumbers.org/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/energy-subsidies-chart.jpg)

Dustin I've heard flocks of birds are chopped up in wind turbines. Why hasn't some animal rights group gone to war over this ?

I'd rather keep every dime of Social Welfare and go to a Free Market as opposed to financing Wal-Mart and Hokey Solar goat ropes. I would have to agree with this and I believe most real conservatives would too. While I believe that business and corporate business are some of the biggest facets to our economy, I will always believe that a free market system with almost 0 subsidies is most beneficial to an overall economy. Didn't know it was that extreme though. Even more incentive to elect someone with no ties to the political system in DC

Move to a flat tax or a consumer tax which i would prefer, and you could save a pile of dough by eliminating much of the irs.

Oh no, they are wanting to eliminate the HUD Ph. D program. What the hell is this, Exchange Programs for Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and Their Historical Trading Partners in Massachusetts, same question on this.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
