What calls do you use this time of year to bring them in? Picked up a Foxpro & wanted to play with it? Do the wounded rabbit or lightning jack distress sounds work better? Or is it better to use coyote howls & pair calls in the am & before dark to get them? Never tried calling them in & doesn't seem like this fits in the trapping section. What strategies in calling work for you?

Prey sounds usually work for me but I always start with howls. sometimes they howl back and sometimes they don't but come in to the prey sounds. Hunt the wind. They are smart and have a much better nose than a deer

Magic # 69. Had a really big male come in the plot I was hunting this afternoon and cleared all the deer out. He came into the plot but didn't leave. I'll post a picture tomorrow.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Wish the state would put a bounty on them. But with the budget brouhaha this year, I don't see it happening. Seems like even a meager $5 off next years hunting license for every coyote tail you bring in to a game warden/check-in station would be incentive enough to encourage folks to kill every one of them they see.

Love God. Love people. Serve Christ.

It would no doubt help and be a start , and that bounty could easily be covered with a small increase in hunting liscense fees , And I woukd t beat me head agaisnt the wall for a couple of people trying to bring em across state lines .

add 2 more, 72 total. Cousin and youngest son both got one Sat morning. No deer seen but 3 coyotes seen, 2 killed and the other one running for his life after my son's second shot parted his hair. Yes, I told him to body shoot them from now on instead of trying to head shoot them all.
