Sometimes when I am in a shooting house I like to whittle but have given most of my good knives to my grandboys. Used a four bladed CASE for years but gave it to Tyler my oldest grandson. Now am thinking of starting over just wondering if someone has any idea of a better brand?

I really like my Opinel #8. I just finished modding the one I have by regrinding the blade to a drop point, Polishing the blade and then re-contouring and sanding the handle before staining and giving it a stained and had rubbed boiled linseed oil finish. Great everyday knife that has a razor sharp carbon steel blade, that is great to use and fun to modify if you want.
