Ok. I'm just now getting to this post. This post was started because of my dumb azz. Yes, I put out record rack Fri night at ten o'clock off a greenfield for my son to hunt. Yes, it was 100 yards. Yes, it was questionable on if a deer could have been seen eating. Thought it was a little bit further in bushes and it was late. Yes, I got a ticket which I'm fine with because of the questionable distance. I was told by GW that it had to be an additional 50 yards out of sight from the 100 yard mark and it had to be in a feeder. What pissed me off was the dickhead sob pos wrote my ten year old son a warning! I fully respect the job a warden does don't get me wrong. But he was wrong and he's a major azzhat IMO for writing my son a warning. If he felt that I was guilty I'm fine with that ticket but leave my damn kid out of if! Just curious, how much is the fine? I have heard they can actually take you to jail.

I had a GW write my son a warning for moving a buck off a cutover( to the firebreak) before writing it on his license. Wrote me a ticket cause I did same thing. its all a bunch of BS if you ask me.

It is also not supposed to be in a location that would entice deer to cross the path of a STAND to get to the corn. This is the grey area as far as I am concerned. Well just how in the hell are you supposed to know that?

Somebody probably turned shootnmiss in. this^^^^ It's a private lease. He told me that he saw my truck there that morning while I was hunting and looked in the bed and saw a empty bag of feed, waited til we left, went in found the feed then came back that evening while we was hunting. Moral of story, throw your damn bags away!

Learn to hunt and you will not need corn. Then I take it that you are not hunting near green patches. Or over white oak tress. Or from tree stands. Or using a 4 wheeler. Or with camo. Or with scent killers. Or with binoculars. Or with a compound bow. Or with a gun. Etc. Etc. Unless you are hunting barefoot in a loin cloth and running them down on foot with a flint tipped spear you obviously aren't much of a hunter. See I can play this game too and look like just as big a douche.

Only reason I put it out is in hopes of a doe for my kid. A few on here have saw my walls of deer in my house. I have nothing to prove to no one on here.

So the Game warden is a DH, SOB, POS, AZZhat, for doing his job? It's not his fault that you broke the law. To the people saying it isn't an advantage to hunt over corn, the deer will go nocturnal . . . etc etc etc. It's just not true. I have hunted where baiting is legal and it most definitely helps and draws deer in. Also the places I have hunted where baiting is legal are areas of high deer density and the landowners spend a lot of money on summer and fall plots and year round feeding. They don't just walk out the night before a hunt a pour corn on the ground.

YOU put your son in a compromising situation and you should just own it and not call the game warden names for doing his job. Seems like to me he taught your son a valuable lesson. For the record, I think the feeding law is stupid. You oughta be able to put bait out wherever you see fit.
