If you are bow hunting. Would you call these ethical shots ? I wouldn't.

These were kills posted on on a Florida hunting site. I told them they were unethical shots. Which I think they are.
I had these punk ass, kids wanting to meet me and fight.

I realize the gene pool down here is shallow at best, but these guys were all over me. I guess I was taught differently.

you were taught correctly, I wouldn't take either shot at a deer.

punks always want to fight ...till it comes time to actually swing.

I guess heart/lung shots no longer posed a challenge. Hopefully they will mature someday. I wonder how many snouts were split open before they actually connected cleanly.

I once shot a deer between the eyes with a 12 gauge slug. Not on purpose. As I pulled the trigger, he lowered his head in front of his chest.

I've killed deer with broad head cuts through their ears and snouts. Pisses me off.

Troy and others couldn't agree with you more! Things like this give hunters a bad name without a doubt!

A lot of people are of the belief that neck shots are the way to go but never heard of it with a bow and arrow!! Just not very smart in my book! Bullets kill by shock, arrows kill by blood loss!

Sharpe many here think head shots with a gun is ethical, I don't.
A deer with its jaw shot off starving to death is a sad sight. When gun season starts they'll be saying BRING thE PaIn. I think its sad they can't see the wrong in head shots. Yes some die, but some are mutilated.

Looks like the yearling in the first picture was shot thru the front of the back ham/gut and then finished off with the head shot. A LOT of the bow hunters shoot 6 or 8 times thru a target and think they call themselves ready.

I've taken a hard quartering to me shot with a bow before. If they are close, and I'm confident I can slip it in front of the shoulder, I will consider it.

Wouldn't ever try a neck or head shot with a bow on purpose.

I wouldn't try a head shot but I have taken shots with deer quartering to me.

I'm not taking a shot unless it's broadside or quartering slightly with a gun or bow. I'd still rather miss every day and all day than to make a bad shot and injure one.

These types of people IMO just kill to impress others or simply weren't raised with any ethical standards. Hunters respect the game and will harvest in ways that minimize harm, passing on unethical shot opportunities.

To echo a point made earlier, hunters understand the importance of eliminating bad publicity. I respect people that are against hunting but let's not give them ammunition.

Agree. Seeing those photos up top made my stomach turn.
